We are home! It was only three days but felt longer since it was so hot. Had a great visit with Dave, Julie and Joe and Evelyn. Saw Chris a little. It was fun to spend so much time with Kelly.
I took some pictures of the flowers in Mom's yard while we were there. Her entire yard is beautiful with lots of flowers.
We are back from our 4th of July holiday in Haines with Mom and Larry. We ate at the pancake breakfast, watched the parade, ate again at the BBQ in the park and then went to the rodeo. Last night we had strawberry rhubarb pie and ice cream and watched fireworks from the porch. It was a fun day.
Judy at work and I were discussing the explosion of wildflowers this year. This flower is one I have not seen before. It is a sagebrush mariposa lily. The weather is cooling down for the next few days----yay. It was over 90 yesterday.
Charlie is soaking up the early morning sun. He didn't even want to sleep inside last night.
We have been working on making the porch ready for summer. Since the yard is non-existent and not in our plans this summer I have been working on making the porch comfy.
Joe's 22nd birthday was Tuesday. You are only 22 once on the 22nd. We had him out to the house for dinner, bbq'd chuck eye steak, corn on the cob and birthday cake.
