Judy at work and I were discussing the explosion of wildflowers this year. This flower is one I have not seen before. It is a sagebrush mariposa lily. The weather is cooling down for the next few days----yay. It was over 90 yesterday.
Charlie is soaking up the early morning sun. He didn't even want to sleep inside last night.
We have been working on making the porch ready for summer. Since the yard is non-existent and not in our plans this summer I have been working on making the porch comfy.
Joe's 22nd birthday was Tuesday. You are only 22 once on the 22nd. We had him out to the house for dinner, bbq'd chuck eye steak, corn on the cob and birthday cake.
I think it is safe to say that summer is here. It was 90 yesterday, although looks like it will be cooler. the big news yesterday was the bull SNAKE on the front steps. I almost stepped on him. the dogs hearing me scream came running and didn't even notice him. They jumped up and down the step and I think Charlie even stepped on him, but no they didn;t even see the damn thing.
Dad pointed out that I don't have any pictures of Oscar on the blog yet. Oscar is 5 years old. He is half dachsund and half neighborhood lothario. He is very spoiled as anyone will tell you.
As most people know I use a CPAP machine when I sleep. I got a new headgear/mask a couple of weeks ago and I love it!
Its like the company actually listened to all of the complaints I had. The back is soft with velcro and no buckle to hurt your head and the part that rests on your face is soft so you don't have mask face the next morning.
Kelly is growing a garden this year. He is using the raised beds that were here at the house. The potatoes and spinach are growing like gangbusters. We have been eating spinach every day and have given away a lot of it.
I bought a little catnip plant at the nursery. I brought it in the house and not 3 minutes passed before Willy and Felix ate half of it. I have been letting them chew on it a little every day. They are crazy for it.
